Please welcome Amy who shares with us her motivation to pen the novel. Don't forget to check out the fabulous giveaway at the bottom of the post too! Guest Post Happy Birthday, Lúthien84! Thanks so much for inviting me to guest post on your blog. It's a pleasure to be here. I think I may be unique among many of the authors you feature here in that it wasn't Jane Austen that drew me to writing Emma and the City , it was writing Emma and the City that drew me to Jane Austen. Before working on this novel, I never knew such a large community of Janeites existed or even that Jane Austen fan fiction was a thing. Of course, I'd read a few Jane Austen's novels, ...

It has been awhile since an author last visited My Love for Jane Austen . Thus it is my good fortune to be able to welcome Lizzy Brandon who is here for the first time to celebrate the recently published Pride and Prejudice what-if novel titled Recognizing Love . Her previous work is Folly and Forgiveness which is also a variation on Jane Austen's most recognisable story. Let's read her short introduction followed by an excerpt she has specially chosen for us. And don't forget to enter the international giveaway too. Guest Post I've always wondered at what point Darcy actually decided he was going to find Wickham to save Elizabeth and her family's reputation. Did he know he needed to take that step immediately after Elizabeth told him of Lydia's elopement, or was it something he had to sleep on? He tells Elizabeth, "Would to heaven that any thing could be either said or done on my part, that might offer consolation to such distress!" suggesti...
