Welcome to My Love for Jane Austen blog, my personal homage to the greatest and best-loved English novelist that ever lived (16 December 1775 – 18 July 1817). This is the place where you will find my personally written book reviews, Austenesque bookish events from the blogosphere, a summary of weekly giveaways and free e-books in addition to movie and mini-series review of Austen adaptations.
This blog was established on 10 August 2010 in order to have full control of what I would like to post. Before its creation, I was a co-blogger at The Gentle Madhouse, a blog created by my colleague, Marineko for our cosy little group of booksellers whose main aim is to review books that we have read. My blog is devoted to reviewing numerous Jane Austen prequels, sequels, retellings, variations and para-literature that are widely available in any major bookstore and online retailers. It is my fervent wish that it will be your guide and give an insight on what Austenesque and Regency-related fiction and references to read next. In addition, book reviews of other genres which I love to read such as Julia Quinn's romance novels, film and television guidebooks, historical fiction and history are also posted. Occasionally, reviews on movies or television mini-series adapted from or inspired by Jane Austen's oeuvres will be included as well.
