Don Jacobson is one of them who has written a well-thought out Pride and Prejudice variation. Fresh from publishing In Plain Sight which is his first novel with Meryton Press, The Longbourn Quarantine begins after Mr Bingley and his sisters are in London. Smallpox has ravaged the city and they are eager to escape to the countryside to the safe haven of Netherfield Park. Together with Mr Darcy and Georgiana, Charles and Caroline made the journey back to Hertfordshire. Although audiobooks are not a new concept, it is beginning to look like it is here to stay as more people find it convenient to listen to a good story while busy doing other things. Knowing this trend, more authors are now collaborating with voice narrators to produce good audiobooks of their work after the release of print copies and e-books. Thus the gap between publishing these editions and Audible format is shorten. Hopefully readers will be able to purchase either version at the same time in the near future.
