The COVID-19 pandemic that the whole world is currently experiencing now has directly or indirectly affected our lives. Most of us are required to stay at home to wait until the situation is under control. Thus this enforced sojourn has given authors creative ideas to pen stories that are relevant in today's climate. Don Jacobson is one of them who has written a well-thought out Pride and Prejudice variation.
Fresh from publishing In Plain Sight which is his first novel with Meryton Press, The Longbourn Quarantine begins after Mr Bingley and his sisters are in London. Smallpox has ravaged the city and they are eager to escape to the countryside to the safe haven of Netherfield Park. Together with Mr Darcy and Georgiana, Charles and Caroline made the journey back to Hertfordshire. However they are greeted with news that the estate is uninhabitable due to looters pillaging and destroying the house. This leave them no choice but to seek shelter at the Bennets' household.
If you like to learn more of this second book in the Skirmish and Scandal series, you are invited to participate in the short tour. There will be guest posts and excerpts specially selected by Don to pique your curiosity.
