There seem to be a gradual shift towards writing more Pride and Prejudice fantasy based stories among established Austenesque authors these days. This is evident with the publication of Maria Grace's ten books in Jane Austen's Dragons series and counting, Mr. Darcy's Enchantment by Abigail Reynolds, Monica Fairview's Mr. Darcy's Magic series and Mages and Mysteries by Victoria Kincaid just to name a few. Now Sarah Courtney has joined the club with A Disguise of the Worst Sort and her latest release, A Season of Magic . Along with the aforementioned writers, Melanie Rachel and Lari Ann O'Dell, the seven ladies founded an online site dedicated to promoting Austen-themed fiction with fantasy elements called Magical Austen .
