It was not too long ago that author Riana Everly paid her first visit to my blog to promote her debut Austenesque novel. Now she's back with a vignette from her new release, The Assistant which is a Pride and Prejudice prequel. Let's give her a warm welcome and read this special missing scene. I'm delighted to be here to share one of those little snippets of the tale that stayed on the cutting room floor, so to speak! This scene, which originally took place fairly early in the story, introduced one of my favourite characters, Jeremiah Sherrington. He doesn't play a large role in this vignette, but he does in the final version of the novel. Apart from fellow Jane Austen Variations member Monica Fairview, Shannon Winslow has also released The Ladies of Rosings Park this month. It is actually a continuation of Pride and Prejudice and a companion to The Darcys of Pemberley , her first published work back in 2011. British writer Mark Brownlow debuted his Pride and Prejudice variation in e-book format last October. Unlike other novels which focuses on the romance between Mr Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet, Mark chose Mr Bennet as his central character. It is called Cake & Courtship which is the first book in Mr Bennet's Memoirs . The paperback edition was recently published and thus a blog tour has been arranged to celebrate this launch. A variety great posts has been planned by Mark where you can read excerpts from his book, discussions on Jane Austen, interviews with the author and Mr Bennet.
