Spies of our Acquaintance Giveaways for August 2021

After taking several months break to publish other new Pride and Prejudice based novels ( Interrupted Plans , The Predisposition of Miss Elizabeth Bennet , Parallels and Old Boots ), Meryton Press has return to the Skirmish & Scandal series by releasing the sixth novella. If you need a refresher, the books in the series in order of publication date are Schemes of Felicity , The Longbourn Quarantine , Play with Fire , Reckless, Headstrong Girl and A Consuming Love . Now we have Brigid Huey's Spies of our Acquaintance to add to the collection. Like the title imply, Napoleonic agents are at work in the quiet village of Meryton. Misunderstandings & Ardent Love Giveaways for August 2021

You may recognised the name Susan Adriani from CloudCat Design who helped to create beautiful and amazing book covers for authors and publishers over the years. Indeed her creations were showcased in most of the new releases by Quills & Quartos Publishing since its inception. But did you know she is the author of two Pride and Prejudice tales titled The Truth about Mr. Darcy and Darkness Falls Upon Pemberley ? She has return to her roots with the recent launch of Misunderstandings & Ardent Love . The story picks up near the conclusion of the original masterpiece. Although Bingley and Jane Bennet are due to tie the knot, the same cannot be said of Darcy and Elizabeth. Unlike in canon, Darcy did not renew his addresses and left for London after believing that she did not welcome him. On the other hand her opinion of the tall and proud gentleman from Pemberley has change drastically since they last met. Will they be able to overcome their misgivings and allow themselves to ...

The Reintroduction of Fitzwilliam Darcy Giveaways for July-August 2021

You may not have heard of this author but Christine Combe quietly came to the Austenesque publishing scene three years ago with her debut Sense and Sensibility what-if story. The Correction of Folly which is the first book in What Might Have Been series, brought the unlikely pairing of Elinor Dashwood and Colonel Brandon together in addition to some characters from Pride and Prejudice . Since then she has followed up the series with the release of Choice and Consequence a few months back. Her standalone novel called The Reintroduction of Fitzwilliam Darcy was just published last week. From the cryptic title, you may wonder why does Darcy need to be presented to the ton. The master of Pemberley has fallen on hard times when his deceased father was cheated by his steward. In an effort to regain the lost riches, old Mr Darcy resorted to gambling and failed investments. Thus when our darling couple meet for the first time, there is a great disparity between them as Elizabeth Benne...

A Learned Romance Giveaways for July 2021

There have been numerous Pride and Prejudice tales over the years that elevate the secondary characters from Jane Austen's most well known oeuvre as the main protagonist in fan fictions. Some of the popular picks that authors love to write include Colonel Fitzwilliam, Georgiana Darcy, Charlotte Lucas, Kitty and Mary Bennet. Of those choices, the plain and often overlooked middle sister in the Bennet family deserves a story of her own. And Elizabeth Rasche did just that with A Learned Romance which marks her first foray into Austenesque literature! But this isn't her debut novel because the Quills & Quartos author has released a traditional Regency romance titled Flirtation & Folly last year. In this Pride and Prejudice continuation, Mary is the only single daughter to remain in Longbourn. She is given a new lease of life when the now wealthy Wickhams invited her to attend the London season. Mrs Wickham's flirtatious and boisterous temper has not quelled alth...
