Misunderstandings & Ardent Love Giveaways for August 2021

You may recognised the name Susan Adriani from CloudCat Design who helped to create beautiful and amazing book covers for authors and publishers over the years. Indeed her creations were showcased in most of the new releases by Quills & Quartos Publishing since its inception. But did you know she is the author of two Pride and Prejudice tales titled The Truth about Mr. Darcy and Darkness Falls Upon Pemberley? She has return to her roots with the recent launch of Misunderstandings & Ardent Love.

The story picks up near the conclusion of the original masterpiece. Although Bingley and Jane Bennet are due to tie the knot, the same cannot be said of Darcy and Elizabeth. Unlike in canon, Darcy did not renew his addresses and left for London after believing that she did not welcome him. On the other hand her opinion of the tall and proud gentleman from Pemberley has change drastically since they last met. Will they be able to overcome their misgivings and allow themselves to experience true love?

As usual a virtual book tour is currently in progress to celebrate the e-book release this week. Expect to read an entertaining vignette, enticing excerpt, informative author interview and maybe a review or two. The publisher is sponsoring an e-book or paperback edition of Misunderstandings & Ardent Love at each of the scheduled stops. Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story.
