The last published Austenesque novel of the year is Syrie James's The Missing Manuscript of Jane Austen . Due to be officially released tomorrow, 31 December 2012, this is her second Austen-inspired title after the successful debut of The Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen . In this new novel, Syrie has created two stories within a single book that is centred upon a recently discovered manuscript by the great authoress. R. R. Tolkien yet. Naturally after reading and reviewing The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey — Visual Companion , The Movie Storybook is my next target. Marketed as children's book and complete with delectable production stills from the movie, it tells the story of how Bilbo Baggins of Bag End is recruited as the official 'burglar' to join the company of dwarves and the wizard Gandalf on a journey of a lifetime.
