Regency romance author Sue Barr has ventured into the realm of Jane Austen Fan Fiction with the release of Caroline last year. She has followed it up with the newly publication of Catherine , the second book in her Pride & Prejudice continued... series. As you may have guessed, this Pride and Prejudice sequel focused solely on Kitty Bennet, the fourth daughter of the master of Longbourn, and her beau who is Lord George Kerr. How will their love story unfold? As the saying goes, the course of true love never did run smoothly. You may recall that last year debut Austenesque author Sara Marks published her first contemporary novel based on Jane Austen's last completed work, Persuasion . Aptly titled Modern Persuasion , it is the first book in her 21st Century Austen series with a companion book released within the same year.  This book is a compilation of four short stories continuing the lives and offering a different account of the two main characters, Emma and Frederick. The second full-length novel in the series is set to be out come 28 May. This time around, Sara has chosen to adapt the familiar plot of Pride and Prejudice into campus life. If you don't mind, Leigh, please tell us a little about yourself and your background. A: I work as a speech pathologist, currently in the Las Vegas area. I work both in person and doing teletherapy (which I absolutely love) from my home. I write while my kids take naps and during teletherapy breaks. Have you noticed that Pride and Prejudice seems to translate well into our contemporary world? Indeed there are countless of published works that places Fitzwilliam Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet in modern situations such as in the medical, corporate, judiciary and broadcasting field. How about representing the military? It has been achieved before but most Austenesque fiction happened during the first and second world wars. Is there any releases that occur in more recent times?
