Catherine Giveaways for May-June 2018

Regency romance author Sue Barr has ventured into the realm of Jane Austen Fan Fiction with the release of Caroline last year. She has followed it up with the newly publication of Catherine, the second book in her Pride & Prejudice continued... series. As you may have guessed, this Pride and Prejudice sequel focused solely on Kitty Bennet, the fourth daughter of the master of Longbourn, and her beau who is Lord George Kerr. How will their love story unfold? As the saying goes, the course of true love never did run smoothly.

You can learn more of this novel by joining the two-week blog tour that has already begun two days ago. Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman begins after Fitzwilliam Darcy's disastrous marriage proposal to Elizabeth Bennet in Hunsford Parsonage, Kent.
