Phi Alpha Pi Giveaways for May-June 2018

You may recall that last year debut Austenesque author Sara Marks published her first contemporary novel based on Jane Austen's last completed work, Persuasion. Aptly titled Modern Persuasion, it is the first book in her 21st Century Austen series with a companion book released within the same year. This book is a compilation of four short stories continuing the lives and offering a different account of the two main characters, Emma and Frederick. The second full-length novel in the series is set to be out come 28 May. This time around, Sara has chosen to adapt the familiar plot of Pride and Prejudice into campus life.

While counting down the official release of Phi Alpha Pi, you are welcome to participate in the two-week celebratory party that has already begun a couple of days ago. Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story.
