Jane Austen's Dragons Giveaways for May 2018

Prolific Austen Variations' author Maria Grace is well known in the Jane Austen Fan Fiction circles for publishing numerous Austenesque series (Given Good Principles, The Queen of Rosings Park and Jane Austen's Dragons), novels (Remember the Past), novellas (Snowbound at Hartfield), short stories (group under Sweet Tea Stories) and two non-fiction books (A Jane Austen Christmas and Courtship & Marriage in Jane Austen's World). She has completed writing the third and final book in her Pride and Prejudice meets dragon series with the recent release of Netherfield: Rogue Dragon. If you didn't already know, her two earlier books are Pemberley: Mr. Darcy's Dragon and Longbourn: Dragon Entail.

Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman begins after Fitzwilliam Darcy's disastrous marriage proposal to Elizabeth Bennet in Hunsford Parsonage, Kent.
