Kiss Me Good Night, Major Darcy Giveaways for June-July 2022

Meryton Press has recently recruited Georgina Young-Ellis to join their author ranks. If her name seems quite familiar, it is because she is a former member of Austen Authors and has promoted some of her self-published on the Austenesque online communities. These titles include Elizabeth, Darcy, & Me trilogy (Elizabeth, Darcy, & Me, A Battle of Wills and A Maiden's Honor), Darcy's Awakening, The Light in Mr. Darcy's Eyes, Pemberley Park: The Twelve Days of Christmas, Incandescent and Kiss Me Good Night, Major Darcy which is the latest novel.

Fans of Pride and Prejudice stories set during World War II such as Mary Lydon Simonsen's Darcy Goes to War, No Tomorrow by Anne Morris and Anniina Sjöblom's When He Comes Back would be happy to hear that the classic characters from Jane Austen's masterpiece are transported about eighty years back to a time of great upheaval. As the war ravaged much of Europe, the Bennets are not spared either. The four daughters, Jane, Elizabeth, Kitty and Lydia volunteered their time and effort to nurse the injured back to health in London. Their mother has died leaving behind Mr Bennet and Mary in Longbourn together with Aunt Gardiner and her children. Under what sad circumstances do the elder girls meet Captain Charles Bingley and fellow officer Major Fitzwilliam Darcy?

You can find out more about the plot through the virtual tour arranged by Georgina's publisher. Look out for some exclusive excerpts and vignette, entertaining character interviews, informative guest post and a review. You can still enter the final worldwide giveaway for two e-books of Kiss Me Good Night, Major Darcy offered on the last leg of the blog stop although it is too late to participate in the earlier contest for the eight e-books. Nevertheless, do show your love and support to the author by checking out the following blogs.

Guest Post Thanks, Lúthien84, for having me as your guest today, on the blog tour for my newest book, The Darcy Legacy . I have often wondered how Elizabeth and Mr Darcy's courtship would have evolved, were it not for that ill-judged and so ungentlemanlike ' She is tolerable, I suppose... ' This is an angle I explored in The Darcy Legacy . What if their acquaintance did not start on the wrong foot? What if Mr Darcy did not hurt Elizabeth's feelings and her pride at the Meryton assembly — and if he did blunder, it was in a way that she co...

Welcome to the fifth stop of a Lady's Reputation blog tour. If you haven't visited the other blogs in the virtual tour yet, be sure to do so and leave comment including this one for there is an amazing prize to win which will be revealed later. Today Amy D'Orazio is delighted to share with loyal readers an exciting vignette from her most recent release. You would surely root for Darcy to win his lady's hand after reading this. Take it away, Amy! This small bit is from the beginning of a Lady's Reputation , just after Darcy has learned the shocking news that Elizabeth Bennet will not marry him and in fact, does not like him very well. However, adding to his sorrow in losing her, he is also guilty for how his gossip has endangered her reputation. He is, in this scene, in London, trying to figure out how he can right the wrongs he has inadvertently made. Vignette Darcy's tailor had done an excellent job of things, fashioning a suit that Darcy thought look...

The Secret of Pembrooke Park Blog Tour: Excerpt + Giveaway

As mentioned in the previous post , The Secret of Pembrooke Park blog tour stops by on My Love for Jane Austen today. Enjoy the excerpt from Chapter Two of Julie Klassen's eight Regency romance novel. Then check out the details of the giveaway at the bottom of the post which include the author's books and two Jane Austen-related items. Excerpt Abigail and her father rode with the somber solicitor in a well-sprung post chaise hired for the occasion. They travelled for most of the day, on turnpikes and through toll gates, stopping to change horses and postilion riders at regular intervals, or to take a hurried meal at a coaching inn. Finally, they reached western Berkshire, its rolling hills and woodlands giving way to farms and chalk downs near its border with Wiltshire. They passed through the village of Caldwell, with a fine church, cloth mill and the Black Swan, which Mr. Arbeau pointed out as the nearest inn where they might sleep until they deemed the manor house...

The Meyersons of Meryton: Guest Post, Excerpt & Giveaways

Happy weekend, friends! How has your week been? I hope you will have enough rest and relaxation before you begin the next week. It is with sheer delight that My Love for Jane Austen welcomes fairly newcomer Mirta Ines Trupp to join us today. You may have heard that her recent release titled The Meyersons of Meryton is a different spin on Pride and Prejudice with a Jewish twist. I'll let her tell you more about the book and share some fascinating insights regarding herself. There is also an excerpt and a fabulous giveaway of five e-books to go along with it. Guest Post Thank you, Lúthien84, for your warm welcome. I am delighted to spend some time with you and my fellow Janeites. Unlike our beloved Miss Jane, I was not born in a scenic village in rural England. My family were neither descendant of landed gentry, nor were they Anglican. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and am the granddaughter of Russian Jews who escaped the pogroms, poverty and famine prior to the onse...

The Prosecution of Mr. Darcy's Cousin Blog Tour: Guest Post, Excerpt and Giveaway

A weekend double for loyal readers of the blog! Besides having J. Marie Croft visiting with a guest post for Sun-Kissed: effusions of summer , author Regina Jeffers has stopped by today to tell you about her latest Pride and Prejudice mystery, The Prosecution of Mr. Darcy's Cousin . Be sure to read her research into post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and an excerpt from the novel. On top of that there is also a giveaway to go along with the post. I'll hand it over to Regina now. Guest Post In my latest release, The Prosecution of Mr. Darcy's Cousin: A Pride and Prejudice Mystery , Darcy's cousin Major General Fitzwilliam (the former Colonel Fitzwilliam from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice ) suffers from what we would now call "PTSD". During the Regency there was no such distinction. The most one might consider as a diagnosis for the effects of many years in war was "melancholia". Yet, melancholia was also the diagnosis for the most s...
