Fair Stands the Wind Giveaways for August-September 2017

What if Fitzwilliam Darcy is not the eldest son who inherited Pemberley and instead is a second son? As any Jane Austen aficionados know from her novels, younger sons have limited opportunities to earn their living. They would either pursue a career in the army (e.g. Colonel Fitzwilliam, Colonel Brandon), sail the seas (such as Captain Wentworth) or become a clergyman (Mr Collins, Edmund Bertram and Mr Elton comes to mind). Thus we meet Captain Darcy of the Royal Navy and a different Elizabeth Bennet who is "forced" into accepting Mr Collins's proposal in debut author Catherine Lodge upcoming Pride and Prejudice variation. Although Fair Stands the Wind has yet to be officially released, the blog tour has already begun yesterday. Learn why the author choose to explore this unique premise in her guest posts and read several tempting excerpts, vignettes and even a character interview. You can also get to know Catherine better in an author interview. To top it all, eigh...
