The Jane Austen fan fiction genre has grown over the years thanks to the early contribution of prominent pioneers. One of them is Regina Jeffers who released The Mistress of Rosings Park last year. The prolific Austen Authors co-founder is back with a new Pride and Prejudice vagary which she is eager to share with loyal followers. Pemberley's Christmas Governess marks her twenty-eighth Austenesque published story in a career spanning more than ten years.
In this holiday-themed Regency novel, Elizabeth Bennet did not encounter Fitzwilliam Darcy but she rejected Mr Collins's proposal. Then her beloved father died forcing her to accept the position of a governess to alleviate her family's financial situation. Meanwhile Mr Darcy is a widower with a young daughter named Cassandra Anne. He married his cousin Anne de Bourgh but she did not live long. What happens when two lonely souls meet during the Christmas season but cannot be together as she is engaged to his cousin?
A virtual tour is currently in progress to celebrate the e-book publication. Be sure to check out the following blogs to read informative guest post and some tempting excerpts. My idea of good company, is the company of clever, well-informed people, who have a great deal of conversation; that is what I call good company.
Would you like to have a share of the conversation? Or found any mistakes that need correcting? It would be very much appreciated if you leave a comment. Thank you for taking the time to visit My Love for Jane Austen.
