Dare to Refuse Such a Man Giveaways for April 2021

Quills & Quartos Publishing has enrolled another new author in their team. She is Mary Smythe whose Pride and Prejudice what-if novel was released recently. If you recall from canon, Mr Bennet gave his consent for Darcy to marry his favourite daughter near the conclusion of Jane Austen's most popular oeuvre. However the opposite occurred in Dare to Refuse Such a Man. Since Elizabeth have yet to reach the age of majority, her father's permission is required before she and Darcy can wed. But the Bennet patriarch adamantly denied their fondest wish to become man and wife. What actions will they take in order to change his mind?

As is the norm for any Austenesque book release, Mary is participating in a blog tour. Be on the lookout for a few delightful excerpts, enticing vignette, charming interview and a review. Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story.
