Death of a Clergyman Giveaways for September-October 2020

Since debuting in 2017, Austen Authors' Riana Everly has been a constant presence in the Jane Austen Fan Fiction world. This is evident with the publication of eight Austenesque titles up till now including her latest Pride and Prejudice mystery novel, Death of a Clergyman. It is the beginning of a new Miss Mary Investigates series in which the intrepid Bennet middle daughter set out to investigate the murder of her father's heir. There is a prequel called The Mystery of the Missing Heiress which is currently available for free on Amazon. You'll get to learn of a private investigator by the name of Alexander Lyons who will play a crucial role in solving the case.

Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story.
