Austenesque Book Giveaways for 26 October-1 November 2015

The Austenesque book scout would like to apologise to her loyal readers for posting last week's Austen-themed giveaways this week.

Leslie L. Diamond is launching her new Pride and Prejudice novella titled The Earl's Conquest on Jane Austen Variations. Read a snippet of this prequel to An Unwavering Trust and leave a comment or a question because the author is sponsoring a paperback copy and an e-book of The Earl's Conquest. The contest is open internationally and closes next Wednesday, 4 November 2015.

Author Stanley Michael Hurd has stopped by Austenesque Reviews to present his new novel, Colonel Fitzwilliam and the Countess of Sainte Toulours to Meredith Esparza's readers. Read his guest post and an excerpt from the novel and then comment for the chance to win one of three Kindle e-books of Colonel Fitzwilliam and the Countess of Sainte Toulours. The deadline for this worldwide competition is next Wednesday, 4 November 2015.

Head over to Regina Jeffers' blog where she is highlighting her three remaining heroines from her Regency romance novels which are A Touch of Emerald, His Irish Eve and The First Wives' Club. She is generously donating an e-book each to three winners who can choose any of the three novels featured on her post. So leave a comment by midnight EST on Saturday, 31 October 2015 to be in the running.

Let's continue the celebration of "Haunted Austen" on Just Jane 1813 by reading Claudine's excellent review of Mr. Darcy - Bitten by Mary Lydon Simonsen. An e-book of the novella is also offered up to readers who comment about their favourite Austenesque paranormal read. The last day to participate is next Monday, 2 November 2015.

I think you should check it out as it is a relatively new concept that has not been fully explored on any Jane Austen's novels. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman: Book Review

Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman begins after Fitzwilliam Darcy's disastrous marriage proposal to Elizabeth Bennet in Hunsford Parsonage, Kent. After thinking over her reasons for refusing him, Darcy decides to take her reproves to heart and tries to correct the mistakes that he committed in his past although unintentional done.
