Austenesque Book Giveaways for 16-22 November 2015

The Austenesque book scout wishes to inform her readers about Austenite giveaways specially for this week.

Joana Starnes interview has been posted on Leslie L. Diamond's blog. You may want to leave a comment to be in the running to receive a free e-book by the author. Austen Authors' Barbara Silkstone is celebrating the publication of her first Pride and Prejudice Regency novel. Read an excerpt from The Gallant Vicar and be sure to comment because Barbara is generously sponsoring a set of six paperback autographed copies of her Mister Darcy comedic mystery series to a US resident. Do submit your entry before midnight on Thursday, 19 November 2015.

Janet Taylor is sharing the newsletter about first anniversary of the Jane Austen Literacy Foundation on her blog. She also highlighted her contribution to the bookplate programme together with her granddaughter's participation. Janet has also offered her specially designed 2016 Peacock edition calendar to one random commenter of her post. The deadline is at 11.59 pm on next Tuesday, 24 November 2015.

Austen Authors' Pam Dixon is once again very generous as she awarding an e-book edition of her upcoming Pride and Prejudice sequel called Dearest, Loveliest Elizabeth. Be sure to read the Chapter 3 excerpt and leave a comment by next Tuesday, 24 November 2015 to be the winner.

I think you should check it out as it is a relatively new concept that has not been fully explored on any Jane Austen's novels. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman: Book Review

Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman begins after Fitzwilliam Darcy's disastrous marriage proposal to Elizabeth Bennet in Hunsford Parsonage, Kent. After thinking over her reasons for refusing him, Darcy decides to take her reproves to heart and tries to correct the mistakes that he committed in his past although unintentional done.
