Austenesque Book Giveaways for 5-11 October 2015

The Austenesque book scout would like to apologise due to the lateness of posting the following list of Austen-themed giveaways.

Come and read author Ann Mychal's guest post on Austenesque Reviews to learn of her writings called Emma and Elizabeth and Brinshore which together made up The Watson Novels. She has also included an excerpt from Brinshore to entice you to give her novels a try in addition to sponsoring three paperback or e-book editions each of Brinshore and The Watson Novels. Just leave a comment by next Wednesday, 14 October 2015 to be in the running for this worldwide contest.

Jane Austen Variations' Monica Fairview has released her novella titled A Merry Christmas Chase as part of the Regency Quintet Box Set Three: Christmas Edition. Read an excerpt from Regency romance story and be sure to comment in order to win a free copy of this special Christmas box set.

Meredith Esparza of Austenesque Reviews is giving away a paperback copy of First Impression by Charlie Lovett. All you need to win this US only competition is to read her review and comment on her post about what interest you about this novel. It ends next Saturday, 17 October 2015.

Austenesque author Pat Santarsiero has been invited for an interview with blogger and talented artist Janet Taylor on More Agreeably Engaged. Read the transcript and then comment to be entered to win one of two copies of Pat's latest release, The Last Waltz. The US winner will receive either the paperback copy or e-book while the e-book will be given to a worldwide reader. The deadline is at 11.59 pm on next Friday, 16 October 2015.

Lastly, head on over to author Regina Jeffers's blog where she is hosting two giveaways from her Regency romance series. In the first contest, she talks about the heroines in The Realm series and included blurbs from her four books which are A Touch of Grace, A Touch of Mercy, A Touch of Love and His American Heartsong. Leave a comment on her post if you wish to be selected as one of two winners to receive your choice of one of the featured e-books. It is open until midnight EST on Monday, 12 October 2015.

In addition, two e-books up for grabs for readers who comment on her post mentioning which part of 1800s would have you wishing that you live in current times. The two winners get to choose an e-book from The Realm series.

Have you heard of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries which debuted on the web a couple of months ago? I think you should check it out as it is a relatively new concept that has not been fully explored on any Jane Austen's novels. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman: Book Review

Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman begins after Fitzwilliam Darcy's disastrous marriage proposal to Elizabeth Bennet in Hunsford Parsonage, Kent. After thinking over her reasons for refusing him, Darcy decides to take her reproves to heart and tries to correct the mistakes that he committed in his past although unintentional done.
