Austenesque Book Giveaways for 7-13 September 2015

Welcome to a new weekly edition of Austenite giveaways brought to you by the Austenesque book scout.

Leslie L. Diamond of Jane Austen Variations has revealed her novella cover for the upcoming release of The Earl's Conquest and posted an excerpt. She is also offering an autographed paperback edition of any of her books which are Rain and Retribution, A Matter of Chance, An Unwavering Trust and The Earl's Conquest so leave a comment mentioning the book title that you want. The contest ends on Friday, 11 September 2015.

Austen Authors' Jeanna Ellsworth talks about the reasons she has selected a redhead as her heroine in her latest novel, Inspired by Grace. She has also sponsored two paperback copies of Inspired by Grace to US residents so leave a comment on her post to be in the running.

Head over to The Calico Critic to read blogger Laura Hartness's review of Lady Maybe by Julie Klassen. A paperback edition of the novel is awarded to US resident while an e-book is given to international reader who fill up the Rafflecopter form. The deadline for this giveaway is at midnight EST on Monday, 21 September 2015.

You can also read Julie Klassen's guest post on Jane Austen in Vermont to learn her research before writing Lady Maybe. If you comment or ask the author a question, you may win a paperback copy of Lady Maybe. The contest is open to US readers only and ends next Tuesday, 15 September 2015 at 11.59 pm.

Visit Stories from the Past because an excerpt from Leenie Brown's latest novel titled Listen to Your Heart is posted there. The author is also donating an e-book of Listen to Your Heart so leave a comment by 11.59 pm EST on next Wednesday, 16 September 2015 to be counted.

Have you heard of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries which debuted on the web a couple of months ago? I think you should check it out as it is a relatively new concept that has not been fully explored on any Jane Austen's novels. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman: Book Review

Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman begins after Fitzwilliam Darcy's disastrous marriage proposal to Elizabeth Bennet in Hunsford Parsonage, Kent. After thinking over her reasons for refusing him, Darcy decides to take her reproves to heart and tries to correct the mistakes that he committed in his past although unintentional done.
