Promises Kept Giveaways for August 2015

There are relatively new JAFF authors who breaks into the publishing world every so often that readers were not aware of their work until their fellow friends promoted them on social media. One such writer is Zoe Burton whom I came to know through her contribution to Peculiar Ramblings newsletter. Her first book is a novella length Pride and Prejudice variation titled I Promise To... which was released last year. Just a few weeks ago, the sequel to I Promise To... was published.

Promises Kept follows Elizabeth and Darcy through their first year of marriage. Unlike in canon, the couple has known each other from a young age. To find out what happens next, join Zoe on her blog tour as guest post and excerpts from the novel are presented to eager readers. If you are lucky, you may also receive free e-book of Promises Kept generously provided by her.

    So true about the authors that come along and sometimes go unnoticed and its sad b/c their work is good. I saw this at Candy's blog and am excited to read it now. Thanks for sharing!

Have you heard of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries which debuted on the web a couple of months ago? I think you should check it out as it is a relatively new concept that has not been fully explored on any Jane Austen's novels. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman: Book Review

Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman begins after Fitzwilliam Darcy's disastrous marriage proposal to Elizabeth Bennet in Hunsford Parsonage, Kent. After thinking over her reasons for refusing him, Darcy decides to take her reproves to heart and tries to correct the mistakes that he committed in his past although unintentional done.
