Austenesque Book Giveaways for 20-26 July 2015

The Austenesque book scout is delighted to present several Austen-themed giveaways specially for this week.
Janet Taylor has interviewed author Jenetta James on her blog, More Agreeably Engaged. Read the transcript to get to know of the debut author because Jenetta has generously sponsored a paperback edition of Suddenly Mrs. Darcy to international reader. Be sure to leave a comment and contact information there before the contest ends next Monday, 27 July 2015 at 11.59 pm.

Meredith Esparza has posted a short interview with Jack Caldwell where he shares his Crescent City series with Austenesque Reviews' readers. In addition he is giving away a paperback copy of Bourbon Street Nights and Elysian Dreams. It is open worldwide until next Wednesday, 29 July 2015 so leave a comment asking him a question about Louisiana or New Orleans to be counted in the contest.

Visit Dark Jane Austen Book Club to read guest author Beth Andrews's post on Jane Austen. A copy of her book titled Love and Freindship: And Other Delusions are up for grabs. The deadline is Tuesday, 4 August 2015 so fill up the Rafflecopter form if you want to win.

Austen Authors' Rose Fairbanks talks about the danger of meeting strangers who end up becoming the villain in four of Jane Austen's novels. She also shares an excerpt from her new novel and offered two e-books of A Sense of Obligation. So comment on her post by next Friday, 31 July 2015 at 11.59 EST to enter.

Sophie Andrews has highlighted Sarah Johnson's new release on Laughing With Lizzie. There is a short guest post by the author and a video of Sophie reading an excerpt from Sweet Caresses. On top of that two e-books of Sweet Caresses are up for grabs so leave a comment and email address. The deadline for this international giveaway is next Saturday, 1 August 2015.

Have you heard of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries which debuted on the web a couple of months ago? I think you should check it out as it is a relatively new concept that has not been fully explored on any Jane Austen's novels. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman: Book Review

Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman begins after Fitzwilliam Darcy's disastrous marriage proposal to Elizabeth Bennet in Hunsford Parsonage, Kent. After thinking over her reasons for refusing him, Darcy decides to take her reproves to heart and tries to correct the mistakes that he committed in his past although unintentional done.
