Austenesque Book Giveaways for 25-31 May 2015

Welcome to this week's edition of Austenite book giveaways compiled by the Austenesque book scout.

Regina Jeffers blogs at Austen Authors about entailment in the nineteenth century. She is offering a free e-book of Elizabeth Bennet's Deception and Mr. Darcy's Fault so be sure to leave a comment on her enlightening post. The deadline is on Friday, 29 May 2015 at midnight EDST.

Cat Gardiner's is hosting a competition on her blog to win three copies of her debut novel, Lucky 13. Paperback editions will be mailed to US winners while international winners will receive e-book format. Just fill in the Rafflecopter form on her post by Sunday, 31 May 2015 to enter.

Author Joy Dawn King is giving away several awesome Jane Austen-inspired gifts which are a Mr Darcy canvas tote bag, a tin of 22 temporary Jane Austen tattoos, two Jane Austen figures, a deck of Jane Austen playing cards, a tin of Jane Austen bandages with a free present inside, a Jane Austen purse and a cosmetic bag and three artwork pieces. Author Colette L. Saucier is celebrating a milestone on her Facebook author page by donating three e-book editions of Pulse and Prejudice: The Confession of Mr. Darcy, Vampire and The Proud and the Prejudiced. So comment on her post with your choice of books and your email address. Contest closes next Wednesday, 3 June 2015.

Barbara Silkstone is on Austen Authors to share her new release of Mister Darcy's Templars. Read her post and leave a comment for she is generously sponsoring a paperback copy of Mister Darcy's Templars to a US reader in addition to an e-book. The giveaway ends at midnight EDST on Saturday, 30 May 2015.

    Loved Cecilia Gray's book, but sad this was the last in the series.

Have you heard of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries which debuted on the web a couple of months ago? I think you should check it out as it is a relatively new concept that has not been fully explored on any Jane Austen's novels. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman: Book Review

Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman begins after Fitzwilliam Darcy's disastrous marriage proposal to Elizabeth Bennet in Hunsford Parsonage, Kent. After thinking over her reasons for refusing him, Darcy decides to take her reproves to heart and tries to correct the mistakes that he committed in his past although unintentional done.
