Austenesque Book Giveaways for 16-22 February 2015

A new week has just begun which means there are new giveaways to participate in courtesy of the Austenesque book scout.

Brenda J Webb has shared her experience of receiving gifts on Valentine's Day on her first post for Austen Authors. There is also an excerpt from Elizabeth and Darcy — A Most Unlikely Couple to read in addition to giving away two copies of the novel. So leave a comment by midnight CST on Saturday, 21 February 2015 in order to win either the paperback or e-book format.

Diana J Oaks is generously providing an autographed paperback copy of One Thread Pulled to celebrate her debut post on Austen Authors. Just leave a comment there to be eligible to enter the worldwide contest which closes at midnight on Friday, 20 February 2015.

An interview with Elizabeth Adams is featured on fellow Austen Authors' collaborator Rose Fairbanks's blog. Read the transcript and the excerpt from Green Card as there is an e-book edition up for grabs. You have until 11.59 pm EST on next Tuesday, 24 February 2015 to comment with your email address to be in the running for the giveaway.

Meredith Esparza of Austenesque Reviews is giving away five Austenesque ARC novels. They are Fitzwilliam Darcy, Rock Star by Heather Lynn Rigaud, Alyssa Goodnight's Austensibly Ordinary, The Bad Miss Bennet by Jean Burnett, Compulsively Mr. Darcy by Nina Benneton and Abigail Reynolds's Mr. Darcy's Undoing. Just leave a comment on her post mentioning which book you prefer to receive. The deadline for this international competition is next Wednesday, 25 February 2015.

Lastly, two e-books of Banff Springs Abbey are offered by Samantha Adkins in her interview on My Jane Austen Book Club. Check out the excerpt from her latest published novel and then fill up the Rafflecopter form. This worldwide contest ends next Saturday, 28 February 2015.

Have you heard of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries which debuted on the web a couple of months ago? I think you should check it out as it is a relatively new concept that has not been fully explored on any Jane Austen's novels. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman: Book Review

Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman begins after Fitzwilliam Darcy's disastrous marriage proposal to Elizabeth Bennet in Hunsford Parsonage, Kent. After thinking over her reasons for refusing him, Darcy decides to take her reproves to heart and tries to correct the mistakes that he committed in his past although unintentional done.
