Austenesque Book Giveaways for 11-17 August 2014

The Austenesque scout is dedicated to find Austen-inspired book giveaways which will surely delight her readers this week.

Jeanna Ellsworth was invited for an interview with fellow author Linda Weaver Clarke. Read the transcript which is now posted on the latter's blog for there is a chance to win one of Jeanna's Pride and Prejudice novels. If the US winner is picked, a paperback copy of Mr. Darcy's Promise or Pride and Persistence is given away. Otherwise the international winner will receive one of her novels in e-book format. The contest ends next Thursday, 21 August 2014 so leave a comment to enter.

Next you may want to head to Laughing With Lizzie and read Sophie Andrews's review of Chosen which is the first book in Leaving Bennet Behind series by Sarah Johnson. Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story.
