Austenesque Book Giveaways for 9-15 December 2013

This week on the Austenesque book giveaways, check out some of the titles that are offered in the list below which is compiled by yours truly.

Meredith Esparza has interviewed Stanley Michael Hurd, the author of Darcy's Tale on Austenesque Reviews. Read his interesting response because he is giving away five paperback copies of Into Hertfordshire to worldwide readers who leave a comment on his interview. You can also double your chances of winning by commenting on Meredith's review of the book. This fantastic contest closes next Monday, 16 December 2013.

Indie Jane's Lynne Scott has reviewed author Kaelyn Caldwell's How to speak like Jane Austen and live like Elizabeth Bennet. Two winners will receive an e-book each of the guide book offered by the author so take your chance by filling in the Rafflecopter form. The giveaway is open until Monday, 16 December 2013.

Next Jakki Leatherberry of Leatherbound Reviews has invited author Lauren Smith for a chat on her new romance novel, Wicked Designs. Read the transcript and enter by leaving a comment to win an e-book of Wicked Designs which is open internationally. Extra entries are counted and do submit your comment by Monday, 16 December 2013.

Alexa Adams is getting into the early Christmas spirit by hosting an international competition on her blog. She has generously sponsored a paperback copy of Holidays at Pemberley: Or Third Encounters and a set of four Jane Austen Christmas cards. Have you heard of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries which debuted on the web a couple of months ago? I think you should check it out as it is a relatively new concept that has not been fully explored on any Jane Austen's novels. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman: Book Review

Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman begins after Fitzwilliam Darcy's disastrous marriage proposal to Elizabeth Bennet in Hunsford Parsonage, Kent. After thinking over her reasons for refusing him, Darcy decides to take her reproves to heart and tries to correct the mistakes that he committed in his past although unintentional done.
