Let's welcome the new week with Jane Austen-themed goodies brought to you by the Austenesque book scout especially for her readers.

Jane, Actually or Jane Austen's Book Tour which is Jennifer Petkus's latest new Austenesque novel is reviewed on Indie Jane by Lynne Scott. Read what she has to say about the book and enter to win a paperback copy and an e-book version of Jane, Actually or Jane Austen's Book Tour courtesy of the author. Just fill in the Raffecopter form on the review this worldwide giveaway which closes on Monday, 5 August 2013 at midnight EST. Take note that the paperback copy will be shipped to US address only.

Rebecca H. Jamison is promoting her upcoming release of Emma: A Latter-day Tale with a guest post on My Jane Austen Book Club. Read all about it including a short excerpt because an e-book of Emma: A Latter-day Tale is up for grabs for international readers. You just need to fill up the Raffecopter form by next Thursday, 8 August 2013 to be in the running to win.

I think you should check it out as it is a relatively new concept that has not been fully explored on any Jane Austen's novels. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman: Book Review

Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman begins after Fitzwilliam Darcy's disastrous marriage proposal to Elizabeth Bennet in Hunsford Parsonage, Kent. After thinking over her reasons for refusing him, Darcy decides to take her reproves to heart and tries to correct the mistakes that he committed in his past although unintentional done.
