Austenesque Book Giveaways for 24-30 June 2013

The Austenesque scout would like to share some good news to lovely readers regarding book giveaways for this week.
The fourth novel in Cecilia Gray's A Jane Austen Academy series called Suddenly You was reviewed by Kimberly Truesdale on Indie Jane. The author has generously contributed two e-books in this series to coincide with the review. So fill up the Rafflecopter form before the giveaway closes at midnight ET on Monday, 1 July 2013 if you want to be the lucky international reader.

Janet Taylor has posted her review of Joana Starnes's From This Day Forward ~ The Darcys of Pemberley on More Agreeably Engaged so leave a comment with your email address to be entered to win one of two e-books of From This Day Forward ~ The Darcys of Pemberley. The deadline for this worldwide contest is on Saturday, 29 June 2013 at midnight.

Sally Smith O'Rourke has return as guest author on More Agreeably Engaged where she is talking about and giving away a copy of The Maiden Lighthouse. US residents are playing for the trade paperback copy while international reader will receive the e-book version. Just comment on her post mentioning whether you believe in ghost and/or have seen it together with your email address by midnight of next Monday, 1 July 2013.

Meanwhile Laurel Ann Nattress is continuing the Regency Romance Reading Challenge 2013 by reviewing Candice Hern's Desperate Measures. Read her review and leave a comment stating what intrigues you about this short story or who your favourite character is if you have read the novella in order to win an e-book on offer. The giveaway is open until midnight PT on Wednesday, 3 July 2013 to international readers.

I think you should check it out as it is a relatively new concept that has not been fully explored on any Jane Austen's novels. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman: Book Review

Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman begins after Fitzwilliam Darcy's disastrous marriage proposal to Elizabeth Bennet in Hunsford Parsonage, Kent. After thinking over her reasons for refusing him, Darcy decides to take her reproves to heart and tries to correct the mistakes that he committed in his past although unintentional done.
