Austenesque Book Giveaways for 25 February-3 March 2013

The Austenesque scout welcomes you to another edition of weekly giveaways.

Wendi Sotis's All Hallow's Eve was reviewed by Anna Horner on Indie Jane. A paperback and an e-book copy of All Hallow's Eve could be yours when you fill up the Rafflecopter form by next Monday, 4 March 2013. Take note that the paperback edition is limited to US readers only.

For those you who have not heard of the fabulous Austen Admirers app created by Angie Kroll, check out the Austen Admirers Facebook Page and her guest posts on Mary Simonsen's blog, Darcyholic Diversions, P O Dixon's blog, Indie Jane and Regina Jeffers's blog. If you are fired up and would like to help out, visit Kickstarter and pledge your contribution for this Sunday, 3 March 2013 is the last day. Besides the rewards stated on Kickstarter, there are also additional incentives such as Austenesque novels given out to those who donated a minimum sum. Austenprose's Laurel Ann has reviewed Candice Hern's A Change of Heart as part of the Regency Romance Reading Challenge 2013 which she has organised. Read her review and leave a comment mentioning what intrigues you about this novel or who your favourite character is if you have read it in order to win a copy of A Change of Heart. The US winner will receive a paperback or the e-book version if he/she is international. The deadline is next Wednesday, 6 March 2013 at midnight PT.

Nancy Kelley is hosting author Sally Smith O'Rourke on her blog. In addition Sally giving away two copies of her latest novel Yours Affectionately, Jane Austen which is the sequel to The Man Who Loved Jane Austen. So fill up the Rafflecopter form on her guest post to be eligible to win either a paperback copy if you stay in US or Canada or an e-book for international winner. The contest ends next Thursday, 7 March 2013.

I think you should check it out as it is a relatively new concept that has not been fully explored on any Jane Austen's novels. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman: Book Review

Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman begins after Fitzwilliam Darcy's disastrous marriage proposal to Elizabeth Bennet in Hunsford Parsonage, Kent. After thinking over her reasons for refusing him, Darcy decides to take her reproves to heart and tries to correct the mistakes that he committed in his past although unintentional done.
