Austenesque Book Giveaways for 12-18 November 2012

Welcome to another new edition of Austenesque giveaways which you may like to participate in brought to you by the Austenesque scout.

Angela, the blog mistress of Addicted to Jane Austen has highlighted Fifty Shades of Mr Darcy as her new find. Head on over to her post and share your thoughts on the book in the comment section because you may win the complete set of Jane Austen's novels and a blue and white teacup and saucer. Please remember to include your name and email address. This giveaway is open worldwide and closes on Friday, 30 November 2012.

In addition, Angela is also hosting a competition for a 8x10 print of Mr Darcy's Proposal. If you are interested to receive this free print specially designed by her, leave a comment on her post with your name and email address. This international contest ends on Monday, 26 November 2012.

Enid Wilson is interviewed by Maria Grazia on My Jane Austen Book Club where Ms Wilson is promoting her latest novella release, Close Encounters with a Martian Hunk. Read all about it on the interview and answer the question at the end in order to enter the international giveaway for an e-book copy. The deadline falls on Friday, 30 November 2012.

Vic Sanborn of Jane Austen's World has interviewed Susannah Fullerton on her blog. A copy of A Dance with Jane Austen courtesy of the author could be yours if you mention in the comment which character you would like to dance with and why. Have you heard of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries which debuted on the web a couple of months ago? I think you should check it out as it is a relatively new concept that has not been fully explored on any Jane Austen's novels. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman: Book Review

Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman begins after Fitzwilliam Darcy's disastrous marriage proposal to Elizabeth Bennet in Hunsford Parsonage, Kent. After thinking over her reasons for refusing him, Darcy decides to take her reproves to heart and tries to correct the mistakes that he committed in his past although unintentional done.
