Austenesque Book Giveaways for 15-21 October 2012

The Austenesque scout has some good news to share with her readers who may want to participate the giveaways.

Meredith has reviewed Mary Lydon Simonsen's Pride and Prejudice variation titled Darcy on the Hudson over at Austenesque Reviews. Read her delightful review and leave a comment for the chance to win a paperback copy of Darcy on the Hudson courtesy of the author. Your comment should mention what time period or location that you would like Mary to place Darcy and Elizabeth next. This contest is open worldwide and ends next Monday, 22 October 2012.

Next up Maria Grazia is participating in Fall into Fantasy Hop where she is giving away a set of three e-books to one winner at Fly High!. All you need to do in order to win Prue Batten's The Chronicles of Eirie in Kindle format is to fill up the Rafflecopter form available on her post. This international contest is open until Sunday, 21 October 2012.

P O Dixon is promoting her newest Pride and Prejudice-themed novel Matter of Trust: The Shades of Pemberley on My Jane Austen Book Club. Read the synopsis and an excerpt on this post and then comment with your email address to have the chance to win one e-book. This giveaway is open worldwide and closes next Tuesday, 23 October 2012.

I think you should check it out as it is a relatively new concept that has not been fully explored on any Jane Austen's novels. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman: Book Review

Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman begins after Fitzwilliam Darcy's disastrous marriage proposal to Elizabeth Bennet in Hunsford Parsonage, Kent. After thinking over her reasons for refusing him, Darcy decides to take her reproves to heart and tries to correct the mistakes that he committed in his past although unintentional done.
