Austenesque Book Giveaways for 18-24 June 2012

A new week brings some fresh giveaways which the Austenesque scout would like to impart to her readers.

First up, Vera Nazarian is launching her third book in her Supernatural Jane Austen series at Austen Authors. Take a look at her post where she will be giving away a signed, gold-seal embossed trade paperback copy of Pride and Platypus: Mr. Darcy's Dreadful Secret to one winner who leave a comment there.

Following in the footsteps of Vera, Mary Lydon Simonsen is releasing her detective mystery novella titled Three's a Crowd on her blog. Read an excerpt of the novella and enter for the chance to win a Kindle digital copy of her novella by leaving a comment and email address here. This giveaway ends next Monday, 25 June 2012.

Besides this there is another opportunity to win an e-book copy of Three's a Crowd at Leatherbound Reviews. Blog mistress, Jakki, has posted her review of Three's a Crowd so just fill up the Rafflecopter form to enter.

Karen Wasylowski is the latest Jane Austen writer invited by Barbara Tiller Cole to guest post at Darcyholic Diversions. Enjoy Karen's interview where she talks to the main characters in her debut novel, Darcy and Fitzwilliam: A Tale of a Gentleman and an Officer. If you want to win one of two copies of her books which is open to everyone, just leave a comment. Take note that winners of all June giveaways on Darcyholic Diversions will be be picked early next month.

Jakki Leatherberry has posted a review of Karen M. Cox's Find Wonder in All Things at Indie Jane. There is contest for a paperback copy of Find Wonder in All Things donated by the author to one lucky reader from US or Canada. There are many ways on how to enter but participants must leave a comment for each entry that is completed. The deadline is next Monday, 25 June 2012 at 11.59 PST.

Karen Aminadra is hosting a giveaway on her blog for two Kindle e-books of her debut novel Charlotte. You just have to leave a comment here on why you think you should win this Kindle copy. This contest closes on Sunday, 1 July 2012.

Amy Cecil is offering her novel Pride & Prejudice: A Royal Disposition as a free Kindle download. This special promotion is available for only one day on Sunday, 24 June 2012.

Have you heard of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries which debuted on the web a couple of months ago? I think you should check it out as it is a relatively new concept that has not been fully explored on any Jane Austen's novels. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman: Book Review

Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman begins after Fitzwilliam Darcy's disastrous marriage proposal to Elizabeth Bennet in Hunsford Parsonage, Kent. After thinking over her reasons for refusing him, Darcy decides to take her reproves to heart and tries to correct the mistakes that he committed in his past although unintentional done.
