The Jane Austen Guide to Happily Ever After Giveaways for March-April 2012

Jane Austen guidebooks are enjoying a revitalising effect in Austenesque literature where her books can help shape and enrich the lives of Janeite. From Margaret C. Sullivan's The Jane Austen Handbook to Jane Austen's Guide to Dating by Lauren Henderson and Patrice Hannon's Dear Jane Austen: A Heroine's Guide to Life and Love, we all aspire to be one of Jane Austen's leading ladies and meet the right person to get married. With this is mind Elizabeth Kantor has written one of best guides for this purpose titled The Jane Austen Guide to Happily Ever After. This hardcover book is officially released today by Regnery Publishing.

In this age of social media and networking which encourages direct communication with readers, the authoress has agreed to participate in a number of guest post on Austen-themed blogs to promote her labour of love. Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman begins after Fitzwilliam Darcy's disastrous marriage proposal to Elizabeth Bennet in Hunsford Parsonage, Kent.
