Mr. Darcy's Undoing Giveaways for October 2011

Abigail Reynold's final novel for her publisher Sourcebooks is the newly published Mr. Darcy's Undoing. Originally self-published as Without Reserve in 2007, this is a Pride and Prejudice variation that forms part of The Pemberley Variation series. The premise of this novel is about Elizabeth Bennet accepting the proposal of a childhood friend before she meets Darcy again. How far will Mr. Darcy go to win the hand of the woman he loves?

As in the past when Abigail release a new Sourcebooks novel, she will be virtually touring selected book blogs. To encourage user participation, there will be free copies of Mr. Darcy's Undoing to be given away especially for US and Canadian readers. Nevertheless, do leave your comments even if you are not eligible to win.

Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story.
