Austenesque Book Giveaways for 3-9 October 2011

The Austenesque scout is absolutely thrilled to let readers know about three contests for this week.

Jennifer Becton has released the long awaited Caroline Bingley just last week. As such, there will a giveaway for two lucky Indie Jane readers. One signed paperback copy of Caroline Bingley will be available to participants of US and Canadian residents while an e-book of the Personages of Pride & Prejudice which includes the novels of Charlotte Collins and Caroline Bingley in addition to Maria Lucas short story is up for grabs to all international and US readers. Shannon Winslow is once more featured in My Jane Austen Book Club. This time she is interviewed in Talking Jane Austen With... column by the blog administrator, Maria Grazia. This contest is open worldwide and closes next Friday, 14 October 2011.

Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story.
