Jane Austen's 235th Birthday Celebration with Giveaways

There is going to be a great celebration on the Austen blogosphere next Thursday, 16 December 2010 in honour of our beloved authoress, Jane Austen's birthday. As one of English Literature's great author, her 235th birthday (born on 16 December 1775) is a great event that notable Austenesque bloggers and authors would dearly love to participate in order to show their love and pay homage to her.

Rating: ★★★★★/★★★★★ After enduring a not very likeable Austenesque fiction in Karen V. Wasylowski's Darcy and Fitzwilliam which was reviewed several months ago, I was a little wary of reading any Austen-themed novels which caught my fancy because of its beautifully designed covers. After my colleague recommend me to try Maria Hamilton's debut novel, I made up my mind to read it next. It proved to be a wise choice for I spend many hours perusing this delightful Pride and Prejudice what-if story. Mr. Darcy and the Secret of Becoming a Gentleman begins after Fitzwilliam Darcy's disastrous marriage proposal to Elizabeth Bennet in Hunsford Parsonage, Kent.
